Travis Hitt
Executive Director
Travis is thrilled to join the CCAC as the new Executive Director in March 2025. Travis holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado and brings over 12 years experience working with at-risk youth at Boys & Girls Clubs. Additionally, he has dedicated 8 years to operations supporting youth and families, and 4 years raising awareness and driving fundraising initiatives.
As the former Vice President of Philanthropy at United Way of Weld County, Travis led strategic fundraising efforts, achieving a remarkable increase in donor retention from 43% to 61%, thereby ensuring sustained support for critical community programs. With a proven track record in nonprofit leadership, program development, and community engagement, Travis is deeply committed to protecting children and empowering families. His vision and expertise promise to guide the CCAC into a bright and impactful future.

Erin Valenti
Office Manager
Erin has been with The Crawford CAC since October 2023. She is a graduate of the Human Development & Family Studies program at CSU, with a concentration in Leadership and Entrepreneurial Professions. She also holds an AA in Early Childhood Education, and was a stay-at-home mom for 3+ years.
Erin’s professional background includes roles as an Administrative Assistant with the Center for Family Outreach and as a Youth Mentor and intern for Campus Connections at CSU. She also brings several years of experience as a preschool teacher. Throughout her career, Erin has developed valuable experience in grant prospecting and writing, successfully securing funding for both programs within the CCAC. She is continually enhancing her skills in community relations and development, building meaningful partnerships with local organizations.
Erin’s combined professional journey reflects someone who is compassionate, community-oriented, and committed to making a difference in the lives of children and families!
Forensic Services Team

Johanna Reznicek
Forensic Services Director - MA, LCP
Johanna joined the Crawford CAC team in September 2018 with a passion for advocacy and working with children and youth. Johanna holds her Bachelor of Arts with Major in Psychology from Hastings College and a Masters of Counseling from Southwestern College. After graduating with her master’s degree, she began her career in a small nonprofit counseling organization and has since worked in a variety of settings providing services to individuals, groups and families in need of mental health services. Johanna’s career has been a balance between a leadership role and direct counseling experience with a strong advocacy component, training in trauma informed care and desire to do what is right because it is the right thing to do. Johanna looks forward to her role as the Forensic Services Director and while having the opportunity to conduct Forensic Interviews that are developmentally and culturally appropriate and legally defensible of children and adolescents alleging abuse and providing Family Advocacy services for non-offending caregivers.

Tera Stenson
Forensic Interviewer & Family Advocate - MA, LPC
Tera joined the Crawford CAC in May 2018. She received her Masters in Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver in 2016 and graduated with a Bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University in 2012. She has a clinical background working with children and families in a variety of therapeutic settings. Previously, Tera worked as a Behavior Therapist providing 1:1 therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Forensic Interviewer, Tera will focus on providing developmentally and culturally appropriate and legally defensible forensic interviews of children and adolescents alleging sexual abuse. As a Family Advocate, she will provide services to non-offending caregivers of children who have been interviewed.

Gail Slack
Forensic Interviewer & Family Advocate - MSW
Gail was thrilled to join The Crawford CAC in December 2019. She received her Masters in Social Work from Southern Illinois University–Carbondale. She started her career as a Counselor with adolescents in a residential treatment setting in Illinois. Gail previously worked as the Client Services Director where she provided direct supervision of the Social Services Department. Most recently, Gail worked in the office at an elementary school after being a stay at home parent.
As a Forensic Interviewer, Gail will focus on providing developmentally and culturally appropriate and legally defensible interviews of children and adolescents alleging sexual abuse. As a Family Advocate, she will provide services to non–offending caregivers of the children who have been interviewed.
Gail enjoys spending time with her family, running, hiking and reading as much as she can.

Abuse Prevention Team

Ana Pasini
Abuse Prevention Manager & Family Advocate (Bilingual)
Ana is thrilled to be at The Crawford Child Advocacy Center where she started working in 2004 as a Bilingual Family Advocate. She is passionate about facilitating child sexual abuse prevention programs for children and adults in both English and Spanish. During her break from the CAC, she worked at the Food Bank for Larimer County and Head Start. She earned her B.A. in Spanish and Psychology from CSU. Outside of work, Ana enjoys spending time with her two daughters, running, hiking, and fostering dogs from Animal House.

Staci Clark
Safety Smarts Instructor - MA
Staci Clark is excited to be a part of the amazing team at The Crawford CAC teaching Safety Smarts in the schools. She received a B.A. from New Mexico State University in communication disorders in 1998 and then went on to receive her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2000 from the University of Northern Colorado. Staci worked as an SLP in Albuquerque, N.M. for 3 years and in Greenville, South Carolina for 5 years with children and adults with developmental disabilities while her husband was completing his medical training. They have lived in Fort Collins for 7 years and she has been a stay at home mom to 3 children, Maddie, Audrey, and Mason. Now that her own children are back in school, she is looking forward to using her skills again to teach this very important child abuse prevention program!

Heather Hoppin
Safety Smarts Instructor - MA
Heather joined the Safety Smarts program in the fall of 2019. She holds an undergraduate degree in outdoor recreation from Western Washington University and a master’s degree in special education from the University of Northern Colorado. Heather has been a special education teacher for middle-school, a mentor and volunteer for middle school, high school, and college youth, and has led outdoor adventure programs for at-risk children and youth. She has a passion for working with kids with learning differences and loves applying her skills and experience through Safety Smarts!

Coco Peterson
Safety Smarts Instructor - MA
Coco joined the Safety Smarts team in the fall of 2022. She has an undergraduate degree in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University and a masters in Healthcare Ethics from Creighton University. Coco is an accomplished yoga instructor and has experience as a healthcare technician, personal trainer, cheerleading and tumbling coach, and advocate for the awareness and prevention of fentanyl-related addiction, poisoning, and overdoses. Through Safety Smarts, Coco continues her passion for helping vulnerable members of her community!
