Showing Up When It Matters Most
At the Crawford Child Advocacy Center, our work begins with a simple promise: when a child needs a safe place to speak, we show up.
This past year, that promise came to life in thousands of quiet, meaningful moments. A victim finding the courage to share something incredibly hard. A caregiver taking a deep breath, knowing they weren’t alone. A classroom of students learning that their voices matter and that trusted adults are there to help.
Because of you, we were there.
For 29 years, children and adults in Larimer and Jackson Counties have been given something powerful through this center: a voice, a safe place to be heard, and caring staff ready to listen. Whether through a forensic interview, family advocacy, or prevention education, your support helps us meet families where they are and reduce trauma. Sometimes that means confirming nothing happened. Other times, it means helping stop harm from continuing. Both matter.Like many organizations, we’re navigating reductions in federal support—families, schools, and service providers across our community are feeling it. In this environment, local partnership isn’t just helpful. It’s essential. My hope, in 2026, is to continue building a community where children and adults are surrounded by people who care, are informed, and ready to act. Where prevention is valued as much as response. And where no one faces abuse alone.
You can be part of that community:
- Join our Circle of Friends monthly giving program
- Sponsor a classroom to bring Safety Smarts to students
- Attend an event and help raise awareness
- Partner with us to strengthen prevention
Together, we can respond sooner, prevent more harm, and create safer futures.
Thank you for showing up when it matters most.
