We had an amazing first Spanish-speaking Darkness to Light Stewards of Children training on March 29 at Eyestone Elementary School. The training empowers parents to prevent and responsibly react to child sexual abuse. We had an amazing group of 16 parents who attended the training, and we were able to provide childcare for 20 kids. Special thanks to the PVH and MCR Foundation’s Women Investing in Strategies for Health for making this training possible and providing booklets.
Our next bilingual Darkness to Light training will be April 19th at Irish Elementary at 6 p.m. for parents of children who attend Safety Smarts. Contact Ana at ana@crawfordcac.org to register.
